Rafea is an illiterate Bedouin woman from Jordan. She is surprised with an opportunity that presents itself to her: study in India for 6 months to learn how to assimilate solar panels and bring light to her village that has no access to electricity. Rafea talks about her journey and the challenges it presented as her husband gets threatened by the opportunity and threatens to divorce her and take her kids, while her father supports her wish to study. Despite all the challenges, Rafea pursues her dreams and ends up being the first woman to bring light to her village and to teach other women how to bring electricity to their home. But she had to pay the price of losing her husband because of this. She discusses all that she went through with Zainab Salbi.
